Armed man wanted for robbery, multiple offenses, apprehended by New Jersey Transit Police

Jersey City NJ, on Thursday 7/1/21, New Jersey Transit Police Officer Krause and Detective Costain were canvassing near Garfield Avenue Station in Jersey City. They were searching for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery via handgun.

While in the area, Officer Krause observed the suspect on foot. Covertly, Krause and Detective Costain directed NJTPD patrol units to the location. With the assistance of Officers Markowitz and Graybill, the man was safely apprehended. He was carrying a loaded revolver.
This suspect was also believed to be responsible for an attempted home invasion in Jersey City, burglary into 6 vehicles at Metro Park Station, and is a person if interest in several NYPD cases. A great job by your NJTPD Detectives and District 3 Officers!
