Paramus NJ, Paramus police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Lodi, who they say was carrying a loaded pistol in a fanny pack at the Garden State Plaza shopping mall.
According to Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg the arrest was made on Saturday after officers were told someone in the mall was carrying a gun.
Officers identified and found the suspect, after he matched the description they were given, among a group of minors.
After searching the 17-year-old’s fanny pack, officers say, they found a loaded handgun, Chief Ehrenberg said Monday.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with a juvenile weapons offense for allegedly possessing the firearm. After his parents were notified, the suspect was transferred to the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Facility in Teterboro pending a detention hearing.

I know the Supreme Court decided that minors can’t be sentenced to death. A 17-year old with a loaded gun at a shopping mall? I think the Supreme Court should rethink that decision…
