Ridgewood NJ, Yes. Believe it or not, the crybabies on Clinton Avenue got their way again.
The street was recently repaved, but without the concrete curbs and concrete driveway cuts that were promised.
Village Engineer Christopher Rutishauser had told Village Council members concrete curbs and driveway cuts would be including in the repaving project so that the street would be “sidewalk ready.”
Reportedly, residents on the street did not want the concrete and told the Village Manager so.
And so it goes
A 60×90 ballfield on Clinton would fix their asses…

Crybabies? yes! blubbering Bob (F), for sure. The squeaky wheel always gets the oil.
No balls by those in charge.
Who cares? Not everything is a conspiracy. Although I would like to have my street repaved.
Engineer should have been listened to.
Curbs, sidewalks = pedestrian safety.
Residents on this road wanted their private street so they objected.
So here’s the deal, the crybabies got what they wanted. However road should only be closed from 8-9am and 2:30-3:30pm on days school is in session.

Yes, it is bullshit. Yes, they got their way and maintain a private road while those nearby get the extra cut through traffic.
If this outrages you, please come to the village council meeting on September 9 or 16
And tell them no for high density housing. That is another small interest group that will negatively impact our quality of life, traffic, school size etc. be heard or don’t complain when your taxes are raised to accommodate the influx of children.
Now that it is newly paved, just remember to always use it.

Those bullshit signs “drive like your kid lives here” need to come down.
They are violations of the village code.

OK so no sidewalks to keep the kids safe, but a 25mph speed limit to keep the kids safe…
right.
How about we close all of the roads – everyone gets a private road, speed limit goes to zero – everyone is safe… and no ugly sidewalks.
