Toms River NJ, on May 22, the Blue Knights Little League Baseball team presented Josie Manfre-Morey, niece of Trooper Werner Foerster, with a signed baseball from the team prior to their game against the North Wall Little League in Wall, N.J. The Blue Knights are from Toms River and each player honors the State Police by wearing on their uniform, the badge number of a trooper killed in the line of duty.

It was a special moment for the team, as Josie had an opportunity to meet the players and share some stories about Trooper Foerster with them. Several troopers were also on hand to support the team during their game.
On May 2, 1973, Trooper James M. Harper, vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike. Trooper Foerster, who was patrolling nearby, backed-up Trooper Harper. During the stop, shots were fired at the troopers from within the vehicle resulting in an exchange of gunfire. As a result, Trooper Harper was wounded in the left shoulder and arm. Trooper Foerster sustained multiple gunshots to his chest, before he was murdered with his own service weapon.
We would like to thank the Blue Knights and their families for keeping the memory of all our fallen troopers alive.

Please be aware that this woman Josie is a scam. She is of no relation to Trooper Werner Foerster nor does she know his wife, son, grandkids or real nieces and nephews. It is sick and disrespectful to all law enforcement to portray herself as such. Trooper Werner’s Foerster just became aware of all of the posts she has been making… even from his grave. Our question is how many people knew about this and said nothing?
