UPDATE: Bear Sightings in Hawthorne ,Glen Rock and Ridgewood Near Hawes School

Ridgewood NJ, a bear was photographed neat Hawes school early this morning around 930am , near Ellington and Dorchester .

Hawthorne Police report bear sightings on Sunday , in a Facebook post , “Bon soir, everyone. I’m Marc. I’m not aggressive and just minding my own business. I’ve been hanging out in the area of 90 Pasadena Place. If you see me, there’s no reason to be afraid. Just leave me be. If you see me acting erratically or becoming aggressive, please call the Police. Otherwise just wave! ”

 

On Monday All residents be advised Glen Rock Police are aware of the bear in the area of Prospect St Contact Glen Rock Police ONLY if the animal is posing an immediate threat.  All residents are urged not to go near the animal.  Glen Rock Police will continue to monitor the situation.

    Bears are slow after 200 meters. It’s the coyotes that can run all day.
