Step Inside Living History: The Old Stone Church
Even if you aren’t a massive history enthusiast, the venue alone is well worth the trip. The stunning Old Stone Church, originally organized in 1784 as a daughter church of the Old Paramus Church, traces its rich heritage directly back to early Dutch colonists.
While the original structure dates back to 1789, the current breathtaking sanctuary was built in 1819. A meticulous historic renovation in the early 1970s successfully recreated the exact appearance of the original building.
A Resting Place for Heroes: Take a quiet stroll through the historic church cemetery, which serves as the final resting place for numerous American Revolution and Civil War veterans.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate our local roots and honor the legends who walked these very grounds. See you this Sunday!
