Haworth NJ, Bergen County has officially kicked off (tee’d off?) the 2019 Bergen County Golf Season! All 6 of our county public golf courses are open! Booking tee times has never been easier through our digital booking portal: https://golfbergencounty.com/tt_book/.
According to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco ,” We are excited to debut new golf carts at 5 of the courses this spring (the same carts will be at Soldier Hill Golf Course in 2020). The carts come equipped with premium seats, a rain cover to shield bags and clubs, USB and power ports, and a ball and club washer. Additionally, golfers will be able to download and use a new app “Yamatrack” on their personal devices which shows the course layout hole by hole, provides golfers distance to the hole via GPS triangulation, and allows for electronic score keeping.”
Tedesco took to the greens saying ,”I was pleased to kick off the golf season this week with the members of Cresskill and Midland Park Golf Teams. Thank you to Coach Kurt Metz and Coach Dick Bennett for helping to grow the great game of golf and for your mentorship of these young men and women on and off the course. Coach Bennett has been helping shape Bergen County competitive golf and high school athletics for more than 50 years and we’re proud to have him teaching students on the county courses!”
