Hackensack N J, the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management is updating its 2021 Bergen County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). Hazard mitigation planning identifies risks and vulnerabilities associated with natural disasters and develops long-term strategies for protecting people and property from future hazard events.
The County of Bergen, alongside consultant Michael Baker International, Inc., will host a series of public workshops during this plan update to provide updates on the project and to gather input from residents. Public input will help the project team better understand the risks, vulnerabilities, and impacts of natural hazards to the community and identify potential mitigation actions to reduce those risks.
Please join us for our first public workshop on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the One Bergen County Plaza Learning Center.
