Paramus NJ, the annual Big Santa lighting is held at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, on Friday, November 18, 2022. The Bergen Performing Arts Center Choir performs in front of Big Santa. The Event was attended by Paramus Mayor Elect and current Councilman Chris DiPiazza and Councilman Jorge Quintana.

The councilmen said in a Facebook post , “Kicking off the holidays at Westfield Garden State Plaza! The retail capital of the world !” According to Wikepedia Garden State Plaza accounts for 10% of the property taxes collected in the Borough of Paramus.
Garden State Plaza in considered the most popular and largest mall in New Jersey with over 2 million square feet of retail space and is home to over 300 stores. The mall is also home to a food court, and a movie theater.
Love the Big Santa !!!
Many fond memories of that Santa as a child back in the 60s and 70s! Remember Hermans Sporting Goods and Arcadian Gardens in what was an outdoor mall.

Didn’t understand the reason for reserving tickets for the event. No one was able to answer my question on why😟. I thought I was going to be VIP but needed to be given another pass🤷🏻♀️
