Thankfully we have rear-yard trash pick up
and speaking of Backyard pick up. They shouldn’t allow anyone in the backyard, it’s just too much liability. All cans Sanitation recycling should be put in the driveway at some spot. Just so no one’s in a position. Everyone should think about this. It’s a different world.

Move back to the Bronx
Rats ….
Curbside’s coming Back. Remember last year with Covid bring your cans to the curb.
To the jack-ass against rear-yard pickup…. move back to NYC.
Rear yard pickup is one of the few things remaining that differentiates us from Paterson.
Our sanitation ”engineer’s” are well paid for the job which is REAR YARD pickup.
The ”covid excuse” is over. The town looked like shit with the cans at the curb
The lazy new residents from NYC left the cans there all day or multiple days
If your wish ever comes through, then the well paid, well benefited, and well pensioned workers will be out of a job… why? Economics will have us get private contractors…
Because the only reason we have our own employees is due to a strike by a private carter back in 1969, and no other company would do the pickup since the índustry was controlled by Tony Soprana types.. so we bought trucks.
Those days are OVER Tony Soprano is gone and there is actual competive bidding by private carters
. So if you want your employees to lose their jobs, and you want Ridgewood to look like that shit-hole of NYC that you moved here from…just watch that trend of home selling accelerate…. which means your brat will have more kids to play with…. and the crowded classes will require more school taxes… everything has consequences.
The only thing the old time residents want (who subsidize your kids)is the garbage gets picked up in the back yard. Every time an empty nester leaves, the house is sold to a new couple with kids who WILL fill up the classrooms and it WILL cost you more in taxes.
Excellent comment …….
to the clown who thinks curb pick up is paterson or nyc. the wealthiest towns around you have curb side pick up only. wtf are you talking about
