BOE members Brogan and Lenhard oppose certain cell sites, but not at RHS?

Sheila Brogan opposed the placement of cellphone antennas near the Ridgewood Historical Society’s building and Michele Lenhard is fighting the installation of cell antennas in her neighborhood.  So how can it be that the BOE would allow the placement of cell antennas on the top of Ridgewood High School?

Shades of The Valley Hospital – Did Verizon Wireless make a huge donation to the school district and/or Ridgewood Education Foundation?

  1. We need honest consistency.

Why is it OK in some parts of town and not in others?

  2. Simply despicable.

  3. She is no different than most others here in town.

  4. I was against it before I was for it.

  5. Remember Brogan ran unopposed.

  6. The money paid for use at the schools is paid to the BOE Bank account.
Is that being done the same way at Village property sites ??

  7. XXX The village only has one site at the wastewater plant in Glen Rock.I believe that we share some income with Glen Rock. The two that were purposed at that recycling yard and the leaf dump were meet with strong opposition by parents and resident. The then council scraped the two plans for the peace of mind of the residents. I guess the BOED can do what they want but Dom you knew all to this . Right.

  8. XXX I like that does it have some hidden meaning?

  9. Let see if the sheep show up to the BOED meeting to protest this or are they afraid that their kids will be picked on. Turf fields, light and cell phone antennas. A tradition of what ,screwing the neighborhood?

  10. I don’t see the problem. I don’t have any kids in the schools and I don’t live near the HS. It a win win. Property taxes will go down with the extra income from the antennas.

There were also towers proposed for installation at the main firehouse, the Route 17 Park & Ride, and at a pumping station near Twinney Pond Park. All 3 were scrapped after residents (including Sheila Brogan) objected.

  12. Money talks, nobody walks. Ridgewood Board of Education, 49 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ near the Stop & Shop.

  13. For sale Ridgewood BOED no reasonable offer refused.

  14. If you read the letter from the Administration the antenna is being installed in order for the security system installed in the HS to work correctly.

  15. Right #3. There is no other systems out there? Please!

What letter? Could someone post it here, please?

Does that mean every school will be getting a cell site?

Were all property owners within 200 feet of RHS notified via mail of this supposed need?
