Harwin put a price tag on Ridgewood we don’t know what it is , but we may not be able to afford to pay it

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Who is sponsoring the $25,000 Harwin campaign, and who is going to expect the paybacks for their money? The ridgewood blog has learned that it is mostly outside money flowing into the campaign with only three local donations ; Winograd, Halaby and Weitz .

Seven flyers so far , lots of spending on digital ads , lawn signs and a “consultant” named Matthew Krayton . The Ridgewood blog has learned Krayton has received over $10,000 in payments from the Harwin campaign . Who is this mysterious Matthew Krayton ?

He owns a company called Publitics which does consultant to high density housing developers and an expert in getting land rezoned in cities like Hackensack.

Why would big donors fund a municipal election , for pay back .Ever since the arrival of Paul Aronsohn onto the scene the Village of Ridgewood has been viewed as a jewel to be sold off to the highest bidder.

Over development is already a major issue in the Village and in Bergen County with 4 high density projects slated for the Central Business District . Forced over development should be considered a crime like “red lining” was in the 1960’s. Clearly a vote for Harwin and Willett is a vote for the destruction of the Village of Ridgewood.

  1. Oh James, this is gonna be fun!

  2. Shocking!

  3. Didn’t she graduate from that Emerge America program? We are non partisan – why is she is here really????

  4. Harwin just posted a picture of herself getting the endorsement of a state legislator. The legislator has absolutely no connection to Ridgewood and is endorsing her becuase of Harwin’s purported “integrity. ” I guess the legislator thinks nothing of the the many good people in Ridgewood whose religions (Catholic & Jewish) and charities (college scholarship) have been dumped on by Harwin in the course of her campaign. Its really become beyond sickening.

  5. Sorry, I don’t get it. Who is who . Do you mena WHO . What is that. If you say something so important. You will have to be clear , or else you make no sense

  6. What does WHO stand for. I tried to look up and all I got was World Heath Organization. I don’t know what you mean.

  7. Ig nore my remarks. I didn’t see the question mark. Now I understand the sentence. It’s about Krayton

  8. The other night we overheard one of the village directors stating that the villages in a shit storm. It just gets better and better each and every day. This is just like Washington DC, “”holy moly.

  9. You mean nearly $25,000 TO DATE. The latest available report from the state of NJ of campaign donations as submitted by each candidate is dated April 27. That’s 11 days before the election. No way to know yet how much more might arrive by Tuesday or even retroactively after Tuesday.

7:53, who are the “village directors”?

  10. Disgraceful,…

  11. Only one set up that we heard. You don’t need a name, that’s For the Eye in the Sky to know.

  12. C’mon . . This information is incorrect. Take a look at her contributions . . they are all from family (mother, father, sister, her law firm etc all in for $2600) and friends. I couldn’t find any contributions from developers; they aren’t there. And, for the record, I am a Knudsen/Sedon supporter fed up with misinformation.

  13. Hache had almost $18,300 when he ran

  14. I wonder what outsiders gave to his campaign ? If we are going look at contribution then we should look at everyone. .

  15. People like Ramon. He went to RHS and was a popular guy who played football. I wouldn’t be surprised that his future might include state and national positions. 200 people giving 100 dollars is 20,000 dollars. I know many people who would have contributed at least 100 dollars.
