Hasbrouck Heights NJ, busy day for the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department with 5 calls for service. Fire Fighters started their day at 5 am for smoke in an apartment off of Terrace Ave. Members around 1 pm responded to Burr Pl for a party pinned between a trailer and a staircase a 10-30 was transmitted and Wood-Ridge Rescue responded to the scene.
Around 5 pm the Hasbrouck Heights Fire responded to the area Lincoln school for smoke in the area and reported a fire. Then shortly after around 5:30 pm, the department was dispatched to smoke coming from an apartment on Franklin Avenue.
Chief on the scene confirmed a working fire. A 10-30 was transmitted, as well as a working fire assignment to the scene.
The Hasbrouck Heights Mayor and Council also swore in our newest junior firefighter.
Just a little while later Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial building on Williams Avenue for a fire alarm. Fire Department personnel arrived and found a smoke condition inside caused by a heat gun.
