Ramapo NY, Ramapo Police Department currently investigating 2 stolen vehicles from the Village of Airmont that occurred in the early morning hours on today’s date (9/21/21). Potential suspect attempt to enter 3 cars which were parked in a resident’s driveway. These vehicles were LOCKED, so he moved on to a neighbor’s house whose doors were left UNLOCKED with the keys inside. One of the stolen vehicles has been recovered, the other has not yet been found. Ramapo Police would like to once again remind our residents to LOCK YOUR VEHICLES to prevent these thefts!
Hit Ridgewood last week as well.. at least 4-5 cars weekly are stolen from driveways in 2-3 towns closest to Patterson and rte 17 including the Village..
A good majority of these individuals that are robbing these cars or not from the surrounding area. They’re finding these cars in Newark Elizabeth bring them right to the port and then they are gone.
