Last week, Fox Soccer analyst Stu Holden sounded the alarm, noting that some highly competitive youth soccer teams are mandating players as young as 15 and 16 (and even younger) create and maintain Instagram profiles purely to showcase their skills.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ – The Village of Ridgewood is taking immediate, tangible steps to boost its resilience against flooding. Starting next week, on Monday, November 10th (weather permitting), construction will commence on a new flood wall system designed to protect Village Hall.

The entire project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, with the most intensive work scheduled to occur during the first six days.

Fort Lee NJ, a serious and widening scandal has hit the Fort Lee Board of Education and the school district. A third former student has filed a lawsuit, alleging the district failed in its fundamental duty to protect her from former teacher Howard Sidorsky during her time at Lewis F. Cole Middle School.

This latest suit joins an existing complaint filed in March 2024 by two other former female students who accused the district of ignoring complaints of inappropriate touching and sexual harassment by Sidorsky.

SADDLE RIVER, NJ – A valuable piece of Saddle River’s 19th-century history has been rescued from potential demolition. A resolution passed by the Planning Board on November 3rd has released escrow funds to help finance the relocation of a historic 1800s Dutch colonial barn.

The barn is set to be moved from its current location at 4 Apple Ridge Road to a high-visibility, borough-owned property at the intersection of East Allendale and West Saddle River Roads—the site of a former Exxon gas station.

Leonia NJ, good news for dino fans in Bergen County! While Field Station: Dinosaurs prepares to close its gates for the final time this month, its longtime host town, Leonia, NJ, is getting an unforgettable piece of the action.

The owner of the popular Overpeck County Park attraction has agreed to donate one of its towering, life-sized dinosaur models to the borough. A massive 16-foot tall, 26-foot long T-Rex is set to be installed along Station Parkway in mid-November.

“Leonia has been our home for a decade and we’re happy that our friends and neighbors will have this amazing T-Rex to remember us by,” said Guy Gsell, the park’s executive producer.
