the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood Nj, looks like Councilwomen Gwenn Hack has been using Anonymous Comments to attack other Ridgewood Council Members. Gwenn IP24.228.133.88 has also been posting under [email protected] to attack her fellow council members Mike Sendon and Susan Kundsen. Since she is on her way out ,I would guess it is only fair to say that we should expect the same from the trio she supports ,Brooks, Willett and Wietz .

The unsubstantiated, unhappy comments above are designed (as usual) to further confuse the public and upset good people.
Ask any/all seniors that I spend time with if I have ever told them who to vote for, or if I have ever distributed any
campaign fliers to them. They will tell you the Truth.
It was Voight, Hache and Walsh campaigners who targeted senior citizens leaving my non-political luncheon at the last one
I would ever have (already a sad and poignant day for me) with their campaign literature as they boarded their senior bus.
I treat senior citizens as people, not as votes. I would not target senior citizens as a voting block, like they did.
A few days ago I refrained from commenting on the total fabrications written on the blog about who really behaved poorly during my luncheon, but the insults cannot go undefended when they just keep coming, and coming, and don’t relent.
You can bet that the anonymous comments posted on the Blog are ghost-written by the same mean and angry people – and worse than being unkind, they are also untrue.

Is he paying rent? People on this blog seem to make a lot of nonsense their business. Just playing the game.
What about Knudsen’s conflicts? Nothing to say about those?
People in multi-generational dwellings live longer? Really?

Letter of the law is what matters.
Also, explain how Knudsen does not recuse herself from Schedler when her parents live directly across the street from the property.
Knudsen also has three sons on the list to become Ridgewood police officers. Why doesn’t she recuse herself on all matters related to the Police department especially when the Village is currently renegotiating the police contract that her son’s could potentially benefit from.
You hypocrites, especially the Lovings, are always crying about the attacks on Knudsen and Sedon. Be consistent.
By the way, does Sedon even pay taxes to the Village? Just asking. Hear he lives in his in-laws house. We have a councilman who doesn’t even own property in the village. What a joke.

Oh snap, that is her other email address!!! It stands for her family names: dave, gwenn, bridget….. I’m sorry Ms. Hauck care to comment now?
Oh snap – I don’t think she said anything wrong did she?
9:25, no she didn’t. She was dead on with everything.
You can’t always get what you want.
Your IP-address search will give you general details only about what is on the end of that IP address. Here’s what you’ll find out:
The ISP and organization’s name
The IP’s host name
The country it’s in
The region/state
The city (a best guess)
The latitude and longitude of the location (a best guess)
The area code for that region
Any known services running on that IP
What you won’t get.
You won’t get anything like a person’s name or street address. That’s where privacy issues come in, which are there to protect Internet users like you.
How accurate is the IP Lookup tool?
Country 99%
State 90%
Region (25-mile radius) 81%
In other countries the accuracy for 25-mile radius within the region is 55%.

This is Dave Hauck. The comments belong to me, not to Gwenn and I stand behind them.. Gwenn does not use this e-mail address I do.
I am obviously allowed my opinions and very occasionally chose to express them anonymously as almost all of the people on this Blog choose to do.
You however have chosen to disclose the identity of my anonymous posts. This destroys the credibility of this Blog. Why don’t you now disclose the identity of all the posters on this blog. Wouldn’t that be interesting.
Um, what about the anonymous posts on the blog? I guess she ghost wrote them and is a mean and angry person. Wait, I guess you’re right she was dead on about everything.
Dave there would be about the same two dozen miscreants who complain about everything. However, in this case, I agree with Jamsie. Something about BWW doesn’t seem right. They came out of nowhere, and are running on a very unified platform (party?) – this is supposed to be a non-partisan Village and that trio is the definition of partisan.
The people who live here are concerned about their quality of life, and they don’t want to see that way of life sold for the benefit of a few business owners in town, and the Valley Hospital beneficiaries (whomever they may be). I saw first hand what rapid over-development did to Hoboken, and I don’t want to see it here. The Village of Ridgewood has the cachet of exclusivity, and BWW made it clear that was going to change if they are elected. They all but said they were bought and paid for by vested interests in the CBD.
This is nothing personal against Gwenn, who is a nice person. I don’t want to see this Village turn into Montclair. The vested interests in the CBD claim they want expansion for the benefit of the Village, is if they have an altruistic motive. Nothing could be further from the truth: they are in this for themselves. If they cared about the health and welfare of the CBD, they would lower rents according to market demand so that proprietors could make a steady go at a little bit of profit in this new digital economy. But they’re not doing that, are they? No…their tack is to bring in more traffic, more punters, more crowds.
The people who LIVE here don’t want that.
Get it?
The way this blog is “moderated” is so inappropriate. The moderator “James” has not even identified him/herself. That aside, if the blog allows “Anonymous” posts, the moderator should not cherry-pick the anonymous posts and publish guesses of who he/she thinks the poster is. Either you allow Anonymous posts or you don’t. Which is it?
I don’t know who “James” is, but I have to say the this
People who complain about anonymous posts should never post anonymously . Its ether OK for everybody or it is not , the Mayor and his supporters have complained about anonymity at the Village Council, in the Civility Committee to the Bergen Record and the Ridgewood News Ad nauseam by their own rules they should not be posting anonymously,if you don’t like it don’t do it .
Wow Doug. You attack Mike Sedon for living with this in-laws? How petty and small of you. Do you know if he’s paying rent or the mortgage for that property? Do you know how much support he provides or receives from his living arrangement? Maybe they enjoy each other’s company? Maybe grandma and grandpa want to be near their grandkids? Or maybe then help each other out financially? But I guess everyone doesn’t have deep pocket in-laws like you do.
And, yes, people in multi-generational settings live longer happier lives (try picking up a book. . . I recommend Atul Gawande’s “Being Mortal).
And please explain how being a renter precludes one from residency status because, as a resident, Sedon can hold office. But do tell, what other liberties should we deny renters? Should we begin by tossing all of those kids in the apartments out of RPS . How about all of those sweet seniors? They don’t own property in Ridgewood; should they even be allowed to vote?
Worried much, Dave? You clowns are all over this blog. Having the pulpit of the dais isn’t good enough for you clowns. You and your buddies have a lot to lose today. James is just exposing your hipocrisy about anonymous posts. You don’t want an open discussion. You want to be able to tell people to stop talking when you don’t like what they’re saying. You’ve had a nice run and done everything in your power to destroy this town. Let’s hope that today people finally say enough is enough.
10:19, you are casting about for someone to blame for your massive case of cognitive dissonance. And your ignorance–James Foytlin’s name is EVERYWHERE on this blog along with other identifying information. You must be mistaking this blog for one that pumps the party line of the three amigos. Those blog owners seem to try to stay anonymous.
Rut ro, Dave Hauck is going to hear it from Gwenn. And maybe even Paul because we know how he hates people who post on this blog.
Okay James, so you reserve the right to disclose the identity of anyone you choose.
Lesson learned. LOL.
Dave Hauck
My mistake. Since there is no “about” page (or I’m too dumb to find it – there, said it before you!), I’d have to stumble on a post which identified Mr. Foylin as the moderator. I should have spent more time I guess. My observation/comment stands. If the blog allows anonymous posts they ought to be left anonymous. Why does Mr Foytlin get to choose who can post under the cover of anonymity and who does not? That’s why this whole blog stinks.
I would like now to recant EVERYTHING I ever posted on this blog.
Sincerely,
ANONYMOUS!
James – I more or less agree with your viewpoints on general. However, I do not believe that this sort of IP look-ups on an anonymous comments by moderators is fair or smart.
Not fair because when you allow people to post anonymously, there is an implicit expectation of privacy – no matter who is posting.
Not smart because doing what you did will drive away the opposing voices from here and it will simply become an echo chamber for like minded people. Opposing voices – no matter how crude, caustic or unpleasant – are essential to any forum, if for nothing else then to just sharpen our arguments.
I think an apology may be appropriate and you should take down this post.
Lighten up, Francis.
Dave. Guess you guys got caught in your hypocrisy this time. Starting to think we now know who sent the anonymous email to Sedon’s employer. Lesson learned. LOL.
When the spouse of an officeholder expresses sentiments that denigrate the officeholder’s interlocutors or political opponents, and does so anonymously, in a forum that does not hide its hardened skepticism toward the officeholder, developed over years of clear-eyed observation, the spouse should not be surprised to find that they fall within a little-known and thinly-documented exception to the rule about keeping mum on commenter’s identities. So give it a rest, D.H.
Your uneven-handedness shows
I have to agree that disclosing the sender is a low blow.
I’m sure Dave hauck says LOL all the time.
James, it’s a shame you’ve let Boyd and Anne highjack your blog and out people publicly here all the while hiding behind their anonymous crap. That’s all Anne seems capable of, finding out the names of people with opposing or treasonable views in relation to her own and the posting their names here. She’s nothing more than a high school bully. And you are her enabler. Shame on you. I used to respect you. No more.
Anonymous is anonymous–it should be respected. Agree with John above that selective disclosure undermines the forum.
Um Dave….didn’t you hear your lovely wife’s sermon about being very careful before posting on social media? She told everyone to take a big gulp before hitting send and ask yourself whether you would want what you were posting to be good enough to appear in the NY Times. Don’t you guys go over these rules and regulations of social media per Gwenn during your pillow talk?
I love how the number of posters has suddenly been increased from two to two dozen. Ho ho ho, when are people going to realize that thousands of subscribers visit the Blog and post on it.
I see you are back “moderating” so please release my comments. Thanks.
When you wrestle a pig sometimes you have to roll around in the mud
An anonymity policy is not a license to spam a public issues website in a desperate effort to pretend that, after four short years in a given municipal elected office, the vocal political support of the officeholder in question has not dwindled down to a group consisting of two adults with computer access, and those two adults only! We are witnessing an ignominious political death spiral, and, in the words of Dame Martha Stewart, that’s a good thing!
At this late date, the moderator of TheRidgewoodBlog.net knows 1000 percent more local “stuff” that would blow your mind about who’s zooming whom in this town than almost everyone else. Given how much he’s keeping under his hat to protect so many people’s reputations, he’s entitled to throw a red flag on a questionable series of comments, particularly if they are all clearly (from the moderator’s perspective, at least) coming from the household of the immediate subject of the debate!
Exactly how did Anne release Gwenn’s ip address? Huh?
1:24. Gwenn, posting from Starbucks?
2:51. Agree!
2:51, 2:59, you give him way too much credit.
Sure glad I’m a landowner in town.
I was able to cast my vote early this morning.
Hope it wasn’t cancelled out by some renter.
Maybe instead of one man one vote, it should be based upon property values.
Why shouldn’t my vote count twice as much as the guy who lives in that small house?
(Sarcasm)
Ok, blow my mind then Jamsie. Do it. Let me read all the juicy gossip that you’ve been censoring, for the common good. I predict 75% sensible arguments that dispute your worldview, 24% spam comments, and 1% actual situations where you had to pull a comment because it told some horrible truth about someone you wanted to protect (which surprises me, because you seem to have no problem trashing Mrs. Hauck – did she refuse your advances in High School or something?).
Anyway, I still agree with you re this election, and I at the polls early this morning.
the spam is pre-screened most of the time we don’t even see them , we just delete the file every couple of hours . At one point the non publishable comments after spam for what ever reason were 40% , we have not done the calculations in a while . As for Mrs Hauck she is her own worst enemy , or as the staff likes to say a “gift that keeps giving ” She speaks for herself no comment necessary .
Hey I live in a small house! No fair! Don’t judge me. I like cheaper taxes and heating bills. Plus not having a mortgage. Plus having the ability to buy a bigger house with cash if I want to.
Hey Hauck (Dave and Gwenn)…in the recent words of the great Bryce Harper, “F&@$ YOU!”
Such hypocrisy James. You expose “anonymous” posters, and when the true poster tells you that you got it wrong you don’t apologize, you rationalize. And you still haven’t released my other posts criticizing you for exposing anonymous identities. And your childish taunting did not go unnoticed – you by added “you’re IP shows ;)” comment to my post – one that you still haven’t released (and I think you mean “your”). Rather pathetic.
Very classy James. You allow people to post expletives at neighbors, but filter out criticism directed at how you are moderating the blog. I’m sure you can see from my IP address that I am not posting from the Village. Who am I?
Thank you for removing your edits from my 11:08 post before you finally released it at around 4:30. Do you often add your own content to other peoples’ comments? Is that also one of the “little-known and thinly-documented” policies of theridgewoodblog.net?
James, regarding your 4:26 comment, if Anoymous at 4:04 is deemed publishable after being reviewed, exactly how low is the bar?
4:27 – Why in the world are people saying that James filters out criticisms of himself? He constantly posts nasty comments that are made about him. I admire James’ thick skin. He could delete all those messages and yet he posts them. He also posts plenty of opposing points of view. And then someone accuses Anne and Boyd Loving of owning the blog, well, duh, do you think they would post negative things about themselves? Some of you are just scrambling for anything stupid to say. And, to James’ credit, he posts all your stupid comments.
As 4:04 I’m happy to say it to their faces
7:21 expletives were deleted.
holly shit , done.
