RIVER EDGE, NJ – A quiet Tuesday evening was shattered when a hit-and-run driver struck a female pedestrian near a popular local landmark, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on December 16, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., at the busy intersection of Kinderkamack Road and Windsor Road, just steps away from the River Edge Diner. The driver involved fled the scene immediately following the collision, sparking an urgent multi-town search.
Pedestrian in Critical Condition
Emergency Medical Services rushed the victim to Hackensack University Medical Center. According to Bergen County Prosecutor Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer, the woman remains in critical condition as doctors treat her for serious, life-altering injuries.
