Ridgewood NJ, Could Sheila Brogan have looked any worse during Friday’s Special Meeting of the Ridgewood Board of Education?
Our staff guesses that despite their budget of $120+ million, no one thought to offer a course in ZOOM etiquette (proper camera set up, suitable lighting, minimizing distractions, etc.) to every BOE member. For the 5 minutes Michael Lembo was on ZOOM, it looked as if he too needed some instruction (nice kitchen Mike).
Ms. Kwak seemed to have her act together when she ZOOMED in earlier this summer. Maybe she could teach the course?

Regardless of your view of her, this post seems incredibly petty and unnecessary.

It speaks to her lack of professionalism. She needs to be more aware of current expectations. Almost as bad as her using a private email account to transact official school business. That was unacceptable and so is this.
Before you pick on Ms. Brogan. Just remember that Ms. Kwak was dead against the remote access for BOE trustees. Now she is taking full advantage of this unique privilege too. She is such a hypocrisy. Vote them all out and start over!
Brogan is THE WORST. She is the most DESTRUCTIVE individual on the BOE. She has spent decades driving DOWN the quality of Ridgewood Schools.

totally disrespectful to the tax payers
The only policy this board seemed to agree on this year was to change the rules to allow Board members to participate remotely. Now we haven’t seen the board in person since this change was enacted. More upsetting Friday, was the 1/2 hour delay to the start of the meeting because they didn’t have enough board members participating in person. Least transparent budget process in history. Two special meetings to try and swing the aftercare contract to their buddy, Ramon. This board, especially “President” Lembo, is a joke.
You don’t have any real issues to fight on, so you are spreading misinformation?
