The money they spend on the purchase and the money they lose on taxes every single year will be pittance compared to what the y will pend on environmental remediation. It will run into the millions . Do we want a pocket park built over soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and other industrial chemicals? At the very least, this place is going to require an vapor extraction system , air stripper, or groundwater treatment.
Yes, wise Village Council members, let’s reward the speculators for screwing Ridgewood over for years. Reward them for blighting a property. And let’s make sure we assume they’re environmental liability in the process. All while saying that we don’t have money for police, sanitation and sidewalks. Sounds like a great plan.
Oh, they have enough money for police and fire. Look at their overtime budget.
They all have new trucks specialized vehicles etc as if money grows on village trees.The Garbage Truck all look brand new ..these sanitation teams work hard for us no complaint implied..

It is ridiculous. How much money is spent in the overtime budget for police and fire. They need to get their budgets in order. You have cops making 275,000 with all the time come on ridiculous, what a waste
Monday through Friday parking is limited with all the restaurants blocking many spots with the barricades making it harder for people to park and shop. Then on the weekends, you are closing the main streets and creating more of a challenge for parking on shoppers not fair to the retailers. This seems to only benefit the restaurants. But it is all Greek to me.
The village is so toxic . Everything in town is overpriced. No wonder people come to the shop once they don’t come back.
To the bear and counsel and village manager. Please make sure all village vehicles are marked and lettered. We never have noticed a few village vehicles that are not properly marked with a decal stating that is a village vehicle. If the vehicle has empty plates on it, it should be properly identified to what department that vehicle belongs to. We have noticed a few SUVs that are not, and no, we are not talking about police or vehicles. We are talking about. Department of public works. Every other vehicle in their departments are properly lettered.

Yes, there’s no excuse that we have vehicles throughout the village that are not Leonard and numbered correctly per department. Why is a few vehicles not Leonard properly? Is someone trying to be sneaky?

The village is done, no wonder the mayor and council brought him a new manager. He look at the past three years how the village has been run the morale is down to shit, village directors, have overdone their stay. The supervisors that are left have been put in by the old management, it’s time to make a big change ,and it’s time for all new directors and supervision it’s time.
The place is a mess, there are no more heroes, the ones that are left like us are just followers, that’s what they want. Do as I say not as I do. They don’t want leaders anymore because what happens is you get too smart then you are a threat to upper management. So every day we just mosey along.

Yes, regarding the top post, the village Matic, should I dress this. Village vehicles should be numbered and properly marked with a villager Ridgewood markings on every vehicle. Why do we have a few better not. We can understand if they are detective vehicles. But from our investigation we have SUVs in the department of public works running around that are not marked. Again this subject test come up. The mayor council and village manager need to repair this thank you Yours truly the investigating crew.

Clean up village property on chestnut st . Litter and garbage. It smells. Garbage trucks stink. Clean the windows. And doors.

It’s amazing how they talk about every one in that small office. They are bunch of babies, and they know jack shit. And the supervisor has no balls. They are hiring all friends .

The only way for the CBD to survive is to make a free parking for everyone. No one wants to spend money for parking. Shut down parking authority immediately. Advertise free parking in the village on channel 12 inches maybe that will boost business throughout the CBD. Because nothing is going to pay for that $20 million parking garage. The bottom line is swallow it and say yes we screwed up. Just like the electric automobile watch is gonna happen, it’s gonna be a big billion dollar screwup .
Just remember, my fellow neighbors, a name is it on that black at the parking garage or the ones who pushed and voted for this big garage that but the village in a financial hole. They will never ever recoup all that money. They’ll be lucky to make enough money each year just to pay for maintenance. The taxpayers of the village should request how much revenue they make just from the garage. We would like that number but of course I’m sure they have a few set of books.

What we would like to know, is who authorized to buy a brand new SUV, for the department of public, works in, which is a vehicle like that is useless in that department, and the vehicle is unmarked, not lettered at all, or any numbers on it. Especially at times like this when we need the funds for other major projects like a pedestrian bridge from SLO River Road to Kingsbridge Road. Funding for sidewalks on the west side of town. Important things like this safety. This is totally absurd from our investigation. Unnecessary spending , this is extremely poor performance on upper department heads by allowing this to happen. I should be ashamed of themselves. Unnecessary.
