Early Morning Accident on Route 4 in Paramus Sends 6 to the Hospital

Paramus NJ, in the early hours of Saturday morning, a two-car collision occurred on Route 4 westbound near Paramus Road, resulting in injuries to six passengers. Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti reported that officers arrived to find two vehicles, each with three occupants trapped inside. Some passengers suffered serious injuries, requiring transportation to nearby hospitals. Route 4 has since been reopened. The Bergen County Fatal Accident Investigation Team and the Paramus Police Crash Investigation Unit are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella released the following information:

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Paramus Police Department are investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Route 4 in Paramus, NJ.  At approximately 2:28 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Paramus Police Department responded to Route 4 West near the intersection of Paramus Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash that involved two vehicles, and several injured persons with possible serious injuries.  An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert M. Guidetti.  No other information is available at this time, but more details will be released when possible.
