Wall Street NY, on of the last defining voices from when there was such a thing as ” financial journalism” is stepping back from full-time reporting. Veteran CNBC markets correspondent Rick Santelli, known for his spirited trading floor reports , bucking the Covid lock downs , stuck on stupid socialism and direct economic commentary, is retiring from his full-time position after more than 27 years with the network.
His final full-time broadcast will take place on October 2, as announced on CNBC’s Squawk Box. However, viewers haven’t seen the last of him—Santelli plans to transition into a contributor role following his official departure.

Santelli first made his appearance on CNBC as a guest in 1994 before officially joining the network in 1999. Reporting primarily from the trading floor in Chicago, he became an indispensable fixture of CNBC’s financial coverage, specializing in:
