Englewood Police Offer Reward in Investigation of Aggravated Assault of an Off-duty Firefighter

Englewood NJ, the Englewood Police Department is offering a reward for information that significantly assists the Englewood Police with their investigation of an assault that took place on August 5, 2021.

The Englewood Police Department announces and ongoing investigation  into the Aggravated Assault of an off-duty Englewood Firefighter .

The 44 year old fireman and Englewood resident was walking at the corner of James Street and West Palisades Avenue on August 4that around 5:30pm , when he found himself within feet of an apparent road rage  incident involving two vehicles. At some point  words were exchanged between an occupant in one of those vehicles and the fireman. This lead to a physical confrontation that resulted in the firemen receiving a significant injury that would later require medical attention.

Although city cameras recorded the assault , it is believed that people in the area at the time captured  the incident on cell phone video .Detectives would like to view any footage recorded .

The Englewood Police Department is asking for the publics help through their CrimeStoppers  group . CrimeStoppers   offers up to a 1,000 cash reward for any information that would significantly assists the Englewood Police with their investigation. Englewood Uniformed Firefighters local 3260 and Englewood Uniformed Fire Officers Local 3263 of up to $1500 for any information that significantly assists in the investigation.
