Disregard of Stop Sign Causes accident on the Corner of Fairway and Van Dien in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, The driver of a Volvo XT90 was issued a summons for disregarding a stop sign at the intersection of Fairway Road and North Van Dien Avenue in Ridgewood on Tuesday, 11/17. Her actions caused the Volvo to collide with a 4-door Hyundai Sonata.
Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck and a passenger in the Hyundai was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Ridgewood FD Engine Company 35 personnel attended to a minor accident related fluid spill.
Impressed to see photo on Nov. 17 of accident reported to blog on Nov. 16. Boyd is getting psychic! This skill could be extremely useful.
Surprised it does not happen more often, watched three cars run the traffic light this morning at Van Dien and Ridgewood ave.
Come on Boyd, if you really are psychic can you give us a heads-up about how the Village Council elections will go in the spring? Inquiring minds want to know. Will Roberta be history as of July 2???

When a new council is voted in does the VM resign? Can they just fire her? I thought that the VM was a job for as long as the person wanted it.
@11.22pm: But that is exactly the problem. I bet if you were to somehow poll every single one of those 25,000 people, only several hundred would even be able to tell you the name of the VM.

That intersection is screwy because folks are trying to stay off Linwood…..

The accident probably took place because the driver was texting Albert what time his daughter would be at the train station.
