The Fair Lawn Police Department ***UPDATE: A party came in today to report a suspicious incident on 2/24/20 at 2045 hours to report the below incident and it is under investigation***
Fair lawn NJ, The Fair Lawn Police Department was recently made aware of a post that’s been circulating on social media. We did NOT respond to this nor do we have any reports on file of this incident. We cannot take action until the incident is officially reported to us. If anyone knows the person who posted this please have them call 201-796-1400 so it can be investigated.

My friend was almost a victim.. These are the moms words:
Something awful happened to my daughter (name removed). The other night she went to pick my son up from work in Fair Lawn . A black car that looked like a undercover cop car was following really close to her on Rt. 208 even pulled next to her at one point. It followed her off the exit plaza road. They placed their Sirens and cops light on. So She pulled over! Other cars pulled over top thinking they were cops. She went to get her DL and registration out. She glanced into her side mirror . She saw Two huge guys with black hoodies. They came out of each side of their car. She said she just had a bad feeling. It didn’t seem right! She took off and drove where she could loose them/not follow her. She found a safe area and called Fair Lawn police. She told them what happened just in case it was real cops and also to report it. They said it’s been happening in others towns . There are been several reports! They sent patrol cars to patrol area . Please tell your kids and family members to be safe. Always trust your gut! If she didn’t she could have been kidnapped, car jacked, or God knows what. Up Above was watching over her. We are very grateful! Please share
