Ridgewood NJ , A fast moving thunderstorm on Tuesday ripped through a two (2) square block area in the Heights section of Ridgewood shortly after 3:30 PM on Tuesday, leaving at least two (2) downed trees in its wake and knocking out power to several residences. No injuries were reported and damage to structures appeared to be minor in nature. Ridgewood PD, FD and Emergency Services units responded along with a tree crew from the Ridgewood Parks Department. Streets affected were: Waiku Road, Windsor Terrace, and Wastena Terrace.
well thats why the dpw needs to have the hole fleet service in working order. the storms are coming and you and i are not stoping them. .but the fleet is not all up to par because it’s in need for service and repairs not being done because the hole dept left. and now they put on part time help. my tax money is not at work.
Power was out on the east side along a long stretch of East Glen Avenue for a few hours as a result of those power lines being down on the west side. A minor inconvenience…we’re just glad noone was hurt on the West Side.
Oh, your tax money is at work 8:39, its just going to pay for other priorities than the DPW like accumulated leave payouts, pensions and healthcare
