Former Taxi office at Ridgewood Train Station Remains Vacant

Ridgewood Train Station

Ridgewood NJ, despite taxpayers having been repeatedly told by Village officials that the former taxi offices at Ridgewood’s train station had been rented, the property remains vacant. One Village Council member even suggested that residents should stop by and say “hello” to the new tenant.

What gives? Where’s our rent money?

    1. Homeless Shelter or Migrant Housing. Let’s show America that Ridgewood cares and is so much more than just flooding, barber shops, field scams,
toxic water, and prostitution rings please.

    2. Make it the ICE Home Base and Staging Area for ICE Raids in Bergen County.

      1. Do that and lose 75% of the landscaping, construction, and bar/restaurant work force.

        1. Do that and lose 75% of the DIRT CHEAP landscaping, construction, and bar/restaurant work force.

  2. Taxis had their day. They are fading fast and have no financial strength to make a dispatch office viable.

  3. We all wonder what the rent is there. And are they ever going to remodel upstairs and downstairs because downstairs hasn’t been touched since the 70s that would be a pretty good place for a small police dispatch information center for the town perfect location.

  4. I must say the village does a a terrible job that they own. The train station building is a disgrace. The bus station is a disgrace the building next to Fleet service on Chestnut Street is another disgrace, yes these locations are old, but come on clean them up at least talk about no maintenance who was in charge of the buildings. This is embarrassing.

  5. Good place for a shoe shine, yeah that would be pretty cool. I have a barbershop there open up real early so people can get a haircut before work.

  8. I don’t know how someone could put thumbs down, recording the maintenance that has not been done at a few locations throughout the village that the Ridgewood village owns. They must need to go to the eye doctor, because if you go look at the bus station, it’s filthy falling apart, poor lighting, no heat the woods all rotten. You go look at the old taxi stand upstairs and downstairs. It’s just a disgrace you go look at the lower building next to fleet service inside filthy, rodent droppings all over the place, roof leaking windows are falling apart. The buildings are so poorly maintained. We don’t know who’s in charge of that but I’m sorry It’s extremely embarrassing. Maybe the village didn’t put enough in the funds we get it but not to nothing for years and years at these locations, we wonder where the manager mayor and council are thinking about this
