Fort Lee NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANDERSON GERMAN-JAVIER (DOB: 1/28/1995; single; construction worker) of 3332 Kipp Street, Philadelphia, PA on money laundering and possession of controlled dangerous substance offenses. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On April 6, 2022, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force revealed that GERMAN-JAVIER was transporting bulk amounts of currency and suspected narcotics through Bergen County. During this investigation, a search was conducted on GERMAN-JAVIER’s vehicle in Fort Lee, NJ that revealed an electronically operated after-market hidden compartment containing $15,000 in cash, in addition to small amounts of heroin and fentanyl. GERMAN-JAVIER was arrested at the scene of the search.
ANDERSON GERMAN-JAVIER was charged with third-degree money laundering less than 75 thousand dollars, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25a; third-degree possession of heroin, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); and third-degree possession of fentanyl, N.J.S.A.2C:35-10a(1). He was released on his own recognizance pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
