TO THE EDITOR,
As we move closer to full-day kindergarten, we need to look at developmentally appropriate practices. Young children thrive in an environment that fosters their way of learning. That means that they need to handle objects; feel textures; talk with one another while they explore an idea; count objects that they hold; play with one another; and express themselves through art, music, and P.E.
Kids do not need **NEED** full day kindergarten.
Town needs to do the right thing for those in the households who work to pay the too night taxes while saving for increased health care, high Ridgewood taxes and fees, and saving for college for their own children to the tune of 240,000 per attendee.Hands off my wallet ridgewood..those kids can go to any post K afternoon program they want..thing is their parents have to be able to right the check…..This is a town out of control with an entitlement complex when spending other people’s money..limits have been reached..strivers,
Madeleine is spot on. Thank you Madeleine . . . . it’s what I wanted to say but you’ve said it so much better than I could have.
