Garfield NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JARRELL TAVER-HUDSON (DOB: 03/05/1991; single; unemployed) of 170 River Drive, Garfield, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram.
On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, the Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Garfield Police Department revealed that JARRELL TAVER-HUDSON sexually assaulted a child, who was 14 years old or younger, in Garfield, NJ on one occasion.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, JARRELL TAVER-HUDSON was arrested in Garfield, NJ and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2); and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4a(1). JARRELL TAVER-HUDSON was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Garfield Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
