Glen Rock NJ, in a nice turn of events , the Glen Rock council has approved the July 4th parade. According to IDA President Jim Leonard the borough is looking at a scaled down version parade that would include route changes as well as participants. The parade would go from Borough Hall to Faber Field. Participants would include just groups and people from Glen Rock. It was recommended by council that they have social distancing ambassadors marching along the parade route. The final hurdle to having the 81st 4th of July Parade is approval by Police Chief Ackermann of the availability of the police, and the closing of Rock Road.
On May 6th the the Independence Day Association and the Borough of Glen Rock announce that the Independence Day events on July 3rd and July 4th have been cancelled. In light of the global pandemic and uncertain times, this joint decision is in the best interests of the community, the sponsors and the performers.

Good keep in Glen rock. No one needs to see 50 fire engines. We’re going to have a nice quiet July 4 and Ridgewood no parade 15,000 people, no one put in your stupid old dirty ugly chairs at the car two weeks before, and then 10% of them leave the chairs at the curb after the fireworks real nice. No problems with the fireworks like last year. Let’s bring everything to another town let them deal with it. For once we don’t need to be the host. Do you know what it’s like you having the biggest home and pour on the block and all your neighbors are coming to your house every July 4 to utilize You are shit, make it a mess eating your food, using your towels because they forgot to bring their’s. And to top it all off who is peeing on the floor in the bathroom enough.
Nice and quiet, “and get off my lawn!” lol
Can someone translate that comment please?
