Glen Rock NJ, a calm Sunday afternoon in Glen Rock took a dramatic turn on December 8th when a resident of Demarest Street spotted smoke rising from a wooded area just north of Faber Field. Acting swiftly, the resident dialed 911, alerting authorities to what would soon be classified as a suspicious outdoor fire.

Glen Rock Approves July 4th Parade

Glen Rock NJ, in a nice turn of events , the Glen Rock council has approved the July 4th parade. According to  IDA President Jim Leonard the borough is looking at a scaled down version parade that would include route changes as well as participants.  The parade would go from Borough Hall to Faber Field. Participants would include just groups and people from Glen Rock.  It was recommended by council that they have social distancing ambassadors marching along the parade route. The final hurdle to having the 81st 4th of July Parade is approval by Police Chief Ackermann of the availability of the police, and the closing of Rock Road.
