Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Chief Dean Ackermann and the members of the Glen Rock Police Department are proud to welcome P.O. Andrew Magro # 8147 to the GRPD. P.O. Magro graduated from the Bergen County Police Academy Class #128 yesterday, following a 22-week Basic Training Course for newly hired Police Officers. At the graduation he was presented the Defensive Tactics Award by the instructors for excelling during the 80 hour defensive tactics and de-escalation portion of recruit training.
P.O. Magro will begin his three month field training program beginning on Monday, June 27th. We also extend our congratulations to Westwood Police Officer Jose Nieves who was presented with his graduation certificate by his sister, Glen Rock Police Officer Sarah Orsita.
