Glen Rock NJ, Police in Glen Rock say there have been over a dozen car break-ins in a single week, except they aren’t exactly break-ins. The common denominator  is that people continue to leave their keys in their car.   People are leaving their cars unlocked and, in some cases, keeping keys inside the vehicle, giving thieves the opportunity to steal valuables and the car itself. New Jersey law now states that police officers are no longer able to pursue stolen vehicles if the car thief does not come to a stop.

In theory in  New Jersey the actual charges for auto theft are covered under the state’s theft laws because the state doesn’t have a separate statute for stealing a motor vehicle. However, the state does impose specific penalties when someone is convicted of auto theft or the unlawful taking of a car. Any person convicted of these crimes can be fined separately from the theft-associated fines. Additionally, the perpetrator’s driving privileges may be suspended for up to 10 years.

Here’s the full top 10 list of cars stolen statewide in 2021 :

Honda Accord – 541 thefts
Honda Civic – 457
Ford Pick-Up (Full Size) – 425
Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee – 336
Nissan Altima – 277
Toyota Camry – 274
Honda CR-V – 239
Ford Econoline E350 – 199
Toyota Corolla – 184
Ford Econoline E250 – 158

  1. Basically the law preventing the police from doing their jobs is a ‘green light’ for the criminals in the shit-hole cities to come here, steal cars, and face no consequences.
This is what happens when the state is run by democrats, mainly from the higher population shit-hole cities.

  2. It’s probably a bunch of Republicans that are breaking into the cars.
