Mendham Borough NJ, Christine Serrano Glassner, the frontrunner for the GOP nomination to challenge Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), issued the following statement today in response to the Hamas rocket attack that killed at least 40 Israelis and injured hundreds more:
“Today, Israel is the target of a heinous and wanton terrorist attack by Hamas. While her people are in my prayers, especially the victims of this attack and their families, I firmly stand by our ally Israel now and when I serve in the U.S. Senate. All Israelis should know that the United States of America is in solidarity with their fight for freedom and sovereignty, and against this act of war.”
Serrano Glassner, is the mayor of Mendham Borough, and seems undaunted by the fact that no Republican, has been elected as a senator from New Jersey since 1972. She told Morris County GOP crowd that she’s working 10 hours a day, seven days a week, to first secure the GOP nomination and then win the seat next fall. And whoever the Democratic candidate is, she says she’ll be ready.
