Ridgewood NJ, after a drop off at Health Barn a school bus driver was told to park at Graydon Pool . Sources say the driver plugged the GPS coordinates and headed toward Maple Avenue .  Unfamiliarity with the location of the parking lot and careful attention to the GPS commands led the driver to errantly turn in at the barn and head across the sand on the Maple Avenue side and then the Linwood Avenue side leaving the bus stranded . Fortunately no children were on the bus and no one was injured ,except for a bruised ego . A tow truck was called in to remove the bus .

  1. Just when you think you’ve heard it all😊

    15
  2. They were told to park AT graydon not IN Graydon.
    Self driving bus?
Or Hellen Keller at the wheel?
These morons are driving your kids

  3. Sometimes GPS is confusing. It’s not always right. As long as no one got hurt.

  4. And then back to health barn to drive the kids back to school. Geesh

  5. The de-emphasis in critical thinking skills in schools has real world consequences.

    1. The driver is probably 60 years old. Any “de-emphasis” of critical thinking skills in school would have been from 40-50 years ago.

      1. Your whole point is based upon your guess at the driver’s age.

  6. Must have been a Biden supporter!

    1. Maybe it was Biden……

    2. How so?

  7. Hmm. As the bus left the parking lot and proceeded to drive on the sand…no light bulb?

  8. why are buses at Healthbarn? I thought they weren’t allowed. I thought it was a cooking school for little kids?

  9. Wasn’t the lease renewed for health barn foundation and feed the frontlines? Thats what I heard. why are school buses going there and where was it from?

  10. So aside from a dumb ass bus driver……Is Habernickle Park closed to the public during the week while the business is open? Every time I try to take my grandkids to the park it is over run with kids & spaces are blocked off with tarps, buckets, & even the picnic area is being used all day by the business. I thought this was a Green Acres Park are they aware of the over crowding or the closing of the park due to the business? If someone could clarify if it is closed to non business users that would help. IF it is open to the public then do I need to reserve the picnic area or the play scape?

  11. I tried to take my kids there and it looked like a camp was going on and there were 2 school buses in lot. We left

  12. Let me add we left because there were over 50 kids all over the park in groups. Felt very unwelcome

    1. you should take photos

  13. And do what with the photos? I am sure village doesn’t care they gave the business a new lease. As it is I am pretty sure picnic table area & tarp area aren’t part of the lease .

    1. the blog will publish them, but after years of complaints and stories, we have seen no photographic proof at all onlyonemallvoice@gmail.com

wtf is her name on it

  14. I’m sure if the driver was wearing 3 masks and had 6 boosters, we could blame it on the sand being there? Perhaps the driver should ask for a sleep late initiative to be started in his company. I’m sure that’s to blame too.

  15. Amazing.. there are no words to describe the utter stupidity of this occurrence! But as long as we have our stigma free signs on our front lawns it seems anything goes!

  16. Feed the front liners let’s not go there. Look what Patterson did for their employees, they received between 2500 to 5000 Dollar bonus. Plus they received a full catered party. What did the village Ridgewood do for their employees they didn’t even buy them a cup of coffee. Amazing, and the village received millions on top of millions from Covid relief where did all that money go. Something smells. Big deal the employees get twice a year call Pizza and warm soda Is that what we are worth. Amazing

  17. @james. Pictures of what? Kids? Yesterday there was a healthbarn bus IN graydon pool, one parked on hillcrest road and one hiding around the corner parked on Hamilton rd. 3 buses that brought kids to Habernickel park for the business. Picnic tables, play scape and other public areas being monopolized. No wonder that lady felt unwelcome in her own neighborhood park

  18. I heard that business owner took neighbors to court because of photos that told the true story. I guess she bullied them into silence and now it people feel unwelcome. sad

    1. Sounds shameful

  19. That bus represents The United States of America with Joe Biden behind the wheel.

    16

  20. The driver of that bus is probably a safer and more considerate driver than the average Ridgewood resident.

  21. Cold pizza and warm soda,
    Wouldn’t surprise me.

  22. Uhh why was the gate open. Hummmm, who’s in charge of the pool. Yea see ya , well you know who.

    4
    3
  23. The gate should always be closed and locked. Can you imagine if that bus sunk into a sinkhole and fell over, or the driver had some kind of medical condition and the pool was full of water and drove into the pool. The people in charge need to wake up and worry about safety, instead of always putting safety on the back burner.

    6

  24. Yea keep it locked.

  25. The bus driver must have been following the science.

  26. VERY early in the GPS days, when I didn’t even know anybody who had this, in an episode on the American version of “The Office,” Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is driving employee Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) to a meeting with a client. His GPS says to take the next right and he does, even as Jim points out that it means at the next STREET. Showing his full faith in the technology, Michael drives down a ramp and into a body of water.

    Watching TV can be educational.

  27. CORRECTION! I just watched that scene again and it was Dwight (Rainn Wilson), not Jim, who was the passenger in the car.

    Still hilarious.

  28. Am I remembering correctly or not, but a few years ago didn’t the district change from using and managing local drivers to a contract with a company that uses drivers from just anywhere for less pay?

  29. Ok James – tell the truth… is this ypu photoshopping, because it would be a great gag… 😂😂😂

  30. Nope this was real. A healthbarn school bus driver.
