Ridgewood NJ, Calling all movie lovers! Have you seen the incredible work of our middle school students in the 2020 GW/BF Film Festival?
Hosted by Mr. Luts and Mr. Ordini, the film festival showcases work from both Ridgewood middle schools and is usually held each June at the Bow Tie Cinemas Warner Theatre in downtown Ridgewood. This year, of course, the film festival had to move the show online, and it debuted on June 2nd on YouTube. While nothing compares to the experience of seeing a film on the big screen, the silver lining is that the YouTube page has gotten more than 3,000 views in comparison to the 180 viewers typically present in the audience at the theatre. Wow!
The GW/BF Film Festival remains one of the best judged Middle School film festivals in the Northeast. Judges include entertainment industry professionals from The New Yorker, MTV Networks, ABC digital and GW 6th grade science teacher, Mr. Wondra.
Congratulations to all of our young filmmakers!
