Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ALEXANDER J. DE LA CRUZ (DOB: 6/01/2003; single; unemployed) of, Hackensack, NJ on a charge of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On Thursday, March 2, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of ALEXANDER DE LA CRUZ during an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that DE LA CRUZ used the Internet to view, download and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.
As a result of the investigation, ALEXANDER DE LA CRUZ was arrested on Thursday, March 3, 2023 in Paramus, NJ and charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii). DE LA CRUZ is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Hackensack Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Bergen and Morris County Sheriff’s Departments, and the Paramus, Washington Township, and Lyndhurst Police Departments which participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
