Hackensack NJ, the Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of Yves Davilmar Jr. for several criminal charges in reference to an assault on a Police Officer.
On February 16th, 2023, Officer Panagiotis Seretis was responding to assist another officer with his emergency lights and sirens activated in the area of Main Street and Salem Street. Officer Seretis signaled for a black Ford Explorer to pull to the side of the road, to which the vehicle did not immediately obey. After further signaling, the vehicle moved over and allowed Officer Seretis to pass, but proceeded to follow the officer. The vehicle then suddenly accelerated and rammed into the rear of Officer Seretis’s police vehicle. Officer Seretis vehicle came to a rest after being rammed, at which point the vehicle once again rammed the police vehicle. The vehicle then intentionally backed up and proceeded to ram the vehicle multiple times.
Officer Seretis was able to exit his vehicle and place the driver of the vehicle, identified as Yves Davilmar Jr. under arrest without incident. Officer Seretis suffered a minor injury and did not require hospitalization. The Bergen County Sheriffs Office responded, processed the scene, and took an accident report.
