Hackensack NJ, the Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of Kenny Segura of Hackensack on several criminal charges stemming from a home invasion investigation.
On February 1st, 2023 at approximately 0123 hours, officers responded to an apartment building on Pangborn Place on a report of a disturbance. On scene investigation revealed that 3 males had kicked open an apartment door and demanded money from several victims. During the incident, the victims were also assaulted by the males, and held against their will inside the apartment. They suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment at the scene. The Detective Bureau, along with the Bergen County Sheriffs Office responded and collected evidence from the scene. Det. John Mora commenced a follow up investigation which led to the identification of Segura, and a juvenile. The investigation is ongoing pending the identification of the 3rd
suspect.
Segura was placed under arrest without incident. The juvenile was taken into custody and delinquency complaints were filed.
Segura was criminally charged with 3 counts of robbery / 2C: 15-1a(2), 3 counts of terroristic threats / 2C: 12-3(b), burglary / 2C: 18-2a(1), and aggravated assault / 2C: 12-1b(1). These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Segura was processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail on
a warrant.
