Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANGEL AVENDANO-CADME (DOB: 10/21/1997; single; manufacturing technician for bio-medical engineering company) of 417 River Street, Hackensack, NJ on charges of criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Monday, August 30, 2021, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation of criminal sexual contact of a minor. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit revealed that ANGEL AVENDANO-CADME engaged in sexual conduct with the minor who was between the age of 16 and 18 while at a park in Hackensack, NJ on one occasion.
As a result of the investigation, ANGEL AVENDANO-CADME was charged with one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b. AVENDANO-CADME was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
