Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department is pleased to announce that our officers have been trained on the operation of our new WatchGuard V300 body worn cameras (BWC). The camera will be affixed to the officer’s outer most uniform garment. The operation of WatchGuard V300 BWC will be in compliance with agency policy, which is in accordance with NJOAG and Bergen County Prosecutors Office guidelines.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department’s use of body worn video camera technology continues to provide value in enhancing officer safety, reduction of liability, assist with prosecution and case resolution, and further promote professionalism and accountability through transparency.
As with our BWC technology, the video recorded by officers will automatically upload to the WatchGuard storage and evidence management system, where it can be easily accessed for review. An end-user cannot tamper with video files stored on the WatchGuard V300 camera.
