Morris Plains NJ, Honeywell International has sold the 465,000-square-foot office building it opened in Morris Plains in 2015, but it will remain as a tenant for the time being in what may be  the latest step for the company in reducing its ties to New Jersey.

In the fall of 2015, Honeywell opened the building on a 40-acre campus at 115 Tabor Road as its global headquarters. The company moved there from just a few miles away in Morris Township, thanks to a $40 million Grow New Jersey award.

In November 2018, the company announced it was moving its corporate headquarters and its top corporate executives  all to Charlotte, North Carolina. At the time, the company said it still intended to keep approximately 1,000 employees in the state, including 800 at the Morris Plains location. It is unclear if those plans have changed.

Honeywell International Inc. is an American publicly traded, multinational conglomerate headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It primarily operates in four areas of business: aerospace, building technologies, performance materials and technologies, and safety and productivity solutions

  1. Why would the state piss away $40 million to allow a company to move a few miles away?
Wouldn’t it be better used to bring a NEW employer to NJ? Oh never mind… what profitable company would MOVE here in order to be taxed to death by the Democrats who run, and ruin this state.
    RIP New Jersey

  2. People I just talk to a friend of mine who owns a moving company he’s been busy seven days a week moving people out of New Jersey. Residence in Ridgewood bacon to move them out immediately. They will pay double the price. Amazing the old-timers are moving out and flocks. And all the newbies are coming from the city.

  3. Tradition
    of excellence.
