Ridgewood NJ, According to the Ridgewood Police Department (RPD), the massive Village Christmas Tree was successfully delivered and installed this week, taking its place as the magnificent centerpiece of the downtown area.
The impressive evergreen, which was generously donated from a private residence on Cedar Avenue, was safely escorted by the RPD to its final destination at the intersection of Broad Street and East Ridgewood Avenue.

The installation of the Village Tree marks the official countdown to one of the most beloved annual events in Bergen County: Downtown For The Holidays and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony!

Time: The festivities typically run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (with the tree lighting countdown around 6:40 PM).

The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce event transforms the downtown into a winter wonderland with live performances, holiday music, a visit from Santa, s’mores stations, and plenty of family activities. Be sure to arrive early to soak in all the festive cheer!

The Ridgewood Police Department extended its thanks to the community for their patience during the large-scale operation of transporting and installing the tree.
Moving such a large natural tree safely through busy streets requires significant coordination, and the RPD acknowledged the motorists that patiently waited while the crew secured the tree into place. This community cooperation helps kick off the holiday spirit safely and smoothly!
