Jason Collins made headlines this week by being the first player in the four major US sports to come out of the closet .Collins in the twilight of his career made the announcement much to the chagrin of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell who it is said for sometime was looking to make headlines with a similar announcement from the NFL involving if rumors are to be believed 4 players .

Collins perhaps looking to rekindle his faded career beat them to the punch .

In even bigger news Carolyn Moos who played a few seasons in the WNBA and  dated Collins for seven years then was engaged to him until they broke up in 2009 told TMZ claiming she never once suspected he was gay.
