Ridgewood NJ, In an ironic twist, Councilman Jeffrey Voigt reported at the April 3 Village Council meeting on the proposed “Ridgewood Community Center Rules of Conduct.” As Council liaison to The Community Center Advisory Board, he was apparently part of the discussion in which the new Code of Conduct for the Community Center was developed. So here you have an elected official who on several occasions (not once, but multiple times) has called a man FATSO, even following him through a bank parking lot shouting this body-shaming insult. And he called a citizen a “douchebag” on the microphone at a Village Council meeting. He lost his temper with The Village Manager at a public meeting, telling her “I’m f’ing pissed,” when the Manager fulfilled a legal request by the Mayor for documents. And there are several, in fact many, other instances in which his conduct has been anything but exemplary. We can’t wait to see the rules that he comes up with for appropriate behavior in the Community Center, considering that his benchmark is so low.
And there was his well known road rage incident where he frightened a woman half to death
I remember soon after he was elected there was a celebration party. He was stroking the arm of a woman, not his wife, asking about her tattoos. Running his finger up and down on the tattoo. It was really creepy. His wife was in the next room.
Well first of all they marginalize him by putting him on the community center board where he can do no harm. And then he writes a code of conduct to prevent bad behavior in that center. What a joke
Did you ever notice that when this council screws up ( The train statin parking debacle this week) some one writes a article about Voigt ?
Ironically, he’s the biggest douche bag of all time.

Let him run again. Him and Jeanne Johnson. Oh what fun we will have with that. Too bad Sleepy Janice is moving away. Maybe Jeff’s girl Harwin will run again. Good times next year.
The new boarding group – whoever you are, you must not understand the local government system. No one “runs for mayor.’ They run for council, and then the council members elect a mayor. Voigt will not ever get elected again regardless, but sure as hell no one would let him be mayor. He is a disgrace.

The whole Council needs to go – useless and self serving
I agree with most of the comments above BUT we have a problem. Has anyone else decided to be a candidate? Does anyone even know anyone who might agree to be a candidate? Not many people have the fortitude to even run. That’s saying “OK guys, bring it on!” The ugliness that people throw at another human being is absolutely disgusting. Why submit yourself to that? Compliments for doing something well, or something you wanted done are practically never heard. We also have a huge segment of town who are extremely wealthy. They basically could care less, and some of them have told me such.
The whole council does not need to go. Ramone Hache, Susan Knudsen, and Mike Sedon are aces. Voigt is evil. Walsh is useless. Yes, good candidates will step up. And a couple of bad ones will step up too.
