I thought we hired a full time HR person within the last year. Prior to that it had been in the job description of the village manager.
These assistant positions are a waste of taxpayers money. Damn it; tell the supervisiors to get off their fat behinds and work for their money Isn’t there a way for we residents to have any say in this age of over hiring assistants.
Maybe these supervisors who need all these assistants need assisted living, because their old brains are busted.
Does this mean R. Sonenfeld’s friend is out, along with the position created for her? Hope so.
Have these assistant positions always been available? If not then why now. We no longer have the Queen bee so why not eliminate, her assistants position. This whole thing where all managers need an assistant is ridiculous. Just tells me that this managers are not capable of doing there jobs in the first place. Stop wasting taxpayer money.
People in that holy hallowed private sector work much harder for their money than govt. people or civil service workers at any level, and the govt. and civil service people are always lookin for assistants. and more benefits. This has got to stop. We, the taxpayers are footing the bill for all these assistants. So aren’t property taxes high enough.
Yes. She resigned last week.
“holy hallowed private sector” Thats a good one. Didn’t Roberta come from the “holy hallowed private sector”. Look how that worked out. Lies ,cronyism from the “holy hallowed private sector”
Roberta was a political hack nothing more , she is not reflective of the private sector , she is reflective of everything wrong with Washing DC and this country
Yes, Robertas friend is gone gone gone. Hip hip, hooray. The new village manager will resume managing human resources tasks as always used to be done.
I have worked in the public and private sectors. There is a huge difference when it comes to high standards and getting let go if you are lazy. It’s easy to see why massive amounts of taxpayers money is squandered.
