John Otterstedt the recipient of the 2013 Distinguished Teacher Award.
The Mensa Education & Research Foundation has named Hawes School Teacher John Otterstedt the recipient of the 2013 Distinguished Teacher Award.
John, who teaches third grade, was described as “a dedicated and zealous educator who demanded — and got — the very best from his students.” The Mensa Distinguished Teacher Award recognizes a teacher, professor or instructor at any educational level who has had an especially positive influence on the education or life of a Mensa member
John Otterstedt has the very rare combination of being both extra smart and ( and perhaps even more importantly) infinitely patient. I’m so glad he’s being recognized for his unusual talent.
