Kellyanne Conway doesn’t want you to call her a feminist.
The senior counselor to President Trump blasted the label as “anti-male” and “pro-abortion” in remarks at the Conservative Policial Action Conference on Thursday morning.
“It’s difficult for me to call myself a feminist in the classic sense, because it seems to be very anti-male and it certainly is very pro-abortion in this context. And I’m neither anti-male or pro-abortion,” she told The Washington Times’ Mercedes Schlapp in an onstage interview at the annual conservative gathering.
Conway’s remark came after Schlapp asked her about last month’s Women’s March protests, what the columnist described as the belief on the left that “all women pretty much should be Democrats,” and the idea of “conservative feminism.”
“There’s an individual feminism, if you will, but you make your own choices,” Conway continued. “I look at myself as a product of my choices not a victim of my circumstances, and that’s really, to me, what conservative feminism, if you will, is all about.”

Not a Kellyann fan but I understand why she rejects that label. She is a multifaceted person and free to reject the labels assigned by others. Let her tell us if she chooses to be identified by a label.
There is no standard of identity for most of these labels. I am a registered democrat, that is a fact. It does not mean that I agree with everything that democrats do, it does not mean that I do not vote for republicans. I do not consider myself to be a progressive democrat, I am still not clear on what core group of beliefs are included in this label but I consider myself to be in the middle of the political spectrum. You never hear about people near the middle, everything is so extreme.
The labels that people throw around do not fit me. It just makes it convenient for people to assume that they know all about you.
Susan B. Anthony, if she were alive today, would call herself a feminist.
If she were alive she could identify with any label that she wanted.
I choose what to identify with, and others can pick their groups. If Kellyann doesn’t see herself as a feminist that is fine.
Definition of Feminism: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes
Tell Kellyanne to go look it up.
Definition of Feminism: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes”
Then why do all of the women who call themselves feminists (especially the “leaders”) not abide by this definition?
