Hasbrouck Heights NJ, last Friday night at 11 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a serious rollover accident on Route 17 near Franklin Avenue. The crash involved a vehicle that had flipped over, trapping one occupant inside while gasoline leaked into the car and onto the trapped individual.
Upon arrival, Hasbrouck Heights Fire Chiefs 60, 61, and 62, along with Squad 1 and Engine 2, quickly assessed the situation. Crews from both companies worked swiftly to extricate the trapped person, ensuring their safety despite the hazardous conditions.
Once freed, the individual was immediately transferred to the care of Holy Name EMS for further medical attention.
The department extends its gratitude to the Wood-Ridge Fire Department for their crucial assistance at the scene and to our mutual aid partners who provided coverage for the Borough during this emergency.
