  1. They should have started recruiting lifeguards earlier in the year. What a joke that place is. They definitely need a change in management.

  2. The most user unfriendly operation I’ve ever seen. It’s all about the manager.

    1. What could they do to make things better? Plz. be specific.

  3. The manager is a self-centered egotist.

  4. The facility is beautiful. It is a true gem. We should do everything possible to keep it open, and keep people coming!

  8. Key takeaway is that government intervention rarely makes economic issues better and usually makes them worse. When your legislators and executive branch officials are made up primarily of lawyers who know little about how markets work and only care about tipping the scales in favor of their campaign contributors, the less they intervene, the better. This labor shortage (while multifactorial) is just a micro symptom of the national effect. If people understood that, they would actually be better off. But they keep falling for it, like believing the line, “yes, I’ll love you in the morning”.

  9. The Ridgewood Y still has not returned to the normal schedule….

  10. This is what happens when you have miss management. They don’t even know how to do proper staffing throughout the town. In the department of public works we are short like four employees , We have full time employees doing seasonal Yard waste jobs.

  11. Can man!

  12. I remember when it was difficult to get a lifeguard spot. We had so much fun every summer.

  13. You can’t pay people enough to put up with whiny and selfish Ridgewood residents. The lifeguards are too smart to subject themselves to that.

  14. This is what happens when you raise entitled Everyone-Gets-A-Trophy kids who are unwilling to do any work involving physical labor or any type of inconvenience.
